Course Name : Design of Experiments ( DOE ) - Taguchi Method

Duration: 4 days
Audience: All Engineers (TSG, Process, Product, Quality), Quality Managers.
Media: Classroom & Workshop
Prerequisite: None
Objective: Understand & apply Two-level Factor DOEs for optimizing designs and production processes in a timely and efficient manner
Description:

The Taguchi method of DOE employs a matrix approach to efficiently design low-cost, highly reliable products and processes. Since many factors can be addressed simultaneously, this method reduces the total development time significantly. This method can be used to optimize an existing product / process. The class is designed to deal with simple as well more difficult and complex experiments.

Contents:

•  Introduction to DOE
•  Fractional Factorials
•  Orthogonal Arrays & linear graphs
•  Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)
•  Interaction of Two-level factors
•  Three level and higher factors
•  Signal to Noise Ratio (S/N)
•  Inner & Outer Arrays (Noise)
•  Using S/N and sensitivity to optimize Nominal is Best condition
•  Use of Minitab software to solve the problems
